Spent the afternoon re-acquainting myself with the archaeology and history of the Kaiserslautern area at the Theodor-Zink-Museum.

I learned a lot! There were unexpected paleolithic artefacts, and a neolithic settlement I was totally unaware of. The town’s famous claim-to-fame, Holy Roman Emperor Barbarossa, has overshadowed so much.
